I am really enjoying my work here at CGE. The staff, all of them, are amazing. I feel much more supported by this community. They are friendly and open, and so inspiring to me. We are becoming more busy as the first groups are arriving, but I am enjoying that. I've had my first responsibilities and leadership roles which is very nice. I also am planning a party for this Saturday! :)
The weather is finally gorgeous and sunny...at least in the days. I have yet to motivate myself for daily jogs, but I am going to start dance classes today, which for some reason seems unimaginable. I still have a little time for reading, and am enjoying my self-imposed homework and research assignments. such a nerd.
I had a wonderful day in Tepotz with mis primas (my cousins) yesterday. The artesan market was there so we enjoyed gazing at the pretty fabrics, jewelry, and handiwork. Of course we enjoyed the delicious nieve and other little goodies there. I am pleased that after eating in the market (which was soooo hot under the large tents, crammed onto little benches around hot stove tops) I was not effected at all really. It's nice to be able to eat like a local.
Oh, and Saturday I did a little shopping for work clothes (construction clothes just aren't going to cut it at my current jobs) and then to the Opera: Bizet's Carmen! It was sooooo beautiful. My friend and I were delighted despite how cramped we were in the balcony. Sometimes I feel like a giant here.
