- tanned on a roof
- saw a sunrise from the roof
- ran through sugar cane fields
- saw a dead body
- drove a truck
- mixed and poured concrete
- built a house!!!
- was robbed
- gave a salsa performance
- ate AMAZING mexican food
- ate brains (of cow)
- fell in love with used clothing
- traveled with a boy! Ok, it was a man...
- joined a dance company
- used skype ;)
- kept a blog
- fui por una emborrachera
- snuck out of the house early in the morning
- came home at 3am
- sat will illiterate people
- saw a village
- participated in development projects
- experienced liberation theology
- saw a tarantula
- saw scorpions
- saw praying mantises
- tanned so badly that I peeled and blistered
- spent an entire day on the beach
- drank cranberry and vodka in the morning-before breakfast even
- saw viacrusis
- had a serious relationship
- had a long distance relationship
- applied for a Rotary Scholarship, and was denied a Rotary Scholarship
- celebrated my birthday outside of the U.S.
- had a Thanksgiving away from family
- became bicultural and bilingual
- taught English
- taught high school and college students
- saw wild parrots
- visited pyramids
- visited a sacred indigenous site
- bucket bathed
- decaffeinated ;)
- found a gym, and an all-women´s gym at that!
- had gastritis from spicy foods
- had my own extension at an office
- was complimented in the streets
- was asked out-with genuine interest
There are a lot more, but these will have to suffice for now. I think they reflect the breadth of my experiences of Mexico.
